Organized around an elevated park, a variety of public and private relationships arising between the outdoor spaces become the development\u2019s focal point. Dalian, known for its robust shipping industry, inspired the nautical imagery found on the building forms. A reclaimed site along the waterfront was chosen as the project\u2019s location, and the development\u2019s massing and materiality were conceived as a response to the water\u2019s edge. Reintroducing a natural setting completes the composition, softening the architecture\u2019s inherent rigidity and making the project a fluid outgrowth of its surrounding context.
