The solution was to create a loop by connecting the ends of the L-shape arrangement, thus forming a large central public garden. The garden is then enclosed and conditioned, but the design of the roof allows the court to take on an exterior feel as though being under a large Pergola. Carefully filtered natural daylight filters through the skylights and the continuous clerestory, accentuating the exterior feeling of the Garden Court. Located adjacent to the Garden Court and above the existing anchor store structure is a unique \u201crestaurant court\u201d that creates another exciting public space that breathes further life into the center.

The plaza in front of the Grand Galleria is redesigned and reinvigorated with curvilinear walls, as well as a dynamic cascading water feature, creating a newly energized city center and plaza. The facade of the Grand Galleria is a full-height glazed curtain wall which looks out onto the pedestrian plaza in front, seamlessly connecting the outside with the inside. This visually opens up the vertical circulation of the escalators and the activity within the shopping center.
