Having owned and developed her own business, she brings many years of experience and expertise in a wide variety of areas important to successful business management, including financial operations, policy development, accounting, human resources, personnel and many other aspects central to the daily management and operations of a business.

As Beijing Office Director and Senior Project Manager with Laguarda.Low Architects, LLC, Mr. Yu manages and directs a wide sampling of diverse, international large-scale mixed use projects. He ensures a consistently high standard of quality for projects of all scales, functions and budgets, as well as seamlessly integrates LLA’s work with that of our trusted consultants.

Ken Shigematsu  •  Associate

Ken Shigematsu is one of LAGUARDA.LOW ARCHITECTS, LLC’s most talented and enthusiastic designers. Design is his hobby and passion, and it shows through in his work. Mr. Shigematsu contributes consistently high-quality, creative input on various international projects, incorporating his vast knowledge base of current trends in architecture and architectural history. Mr. Shigematsu makes a career not only of great design, but of intensive research and writing in the field of architecture.

Tae Kim  •  AIA  •  Associate

As Associate and Senior Designer at LAGUARDA.LOW ARCHITECTS LLC, Tae Kim is responsible for executing a wide range of international projects, including retail, mixed use, master planning, office and public developments. Mr. Kim has been practicing architectural design for more than 12 years and has vast experience in the design and 3D visualization of projects for the some of the largest and most respected clients in the world.  Prior to joining to Laguarda.Low Architects LLC in 2002, Mr. Kim spent 3 years as a designer in IDEA Architects in Seoul, Korea and was extensively involved in large-scale mixed use, educational, and government projects including the winning entries in several domestic and international design competitions in Korea.  His work has collected numerous international awards and amassed an impressive portfolio of mixed-use, speculative office, hotel/resort, retail, entertainment facilities across Europe, Asia, South America and the United States.

Tobias Newham  •  Associate

As Project Designer with Laguarda.Low Architects LLC, Mr. Newham works within a team environment to realize design concepts that fulfill all a given client’s needs and desires. Mr. Newham has more than 14 years experience in the architectural field. He specializes in large-scale, international retail and entertainment centers, taking into consideration the variable circumstances that come with every unique commission.
